*The sauna will be pre-set and warmed to 120 degrees. Keep in mind, this is the infrared temperature, not the air temperature. The benefits of the infrared are the same at 110 degrees as they are at 150 (max temperature). You have the ability to raise or lower the temperature from inside the cabin during your visit.
*Starting out, 25 minute increments in the sauna is recommended, working up to 45 minutes at your comfort level. You may not sweat as much your first few times. Once the body becomes acclimated to the detoxification process, sweating may increase and happen at a faster rate.
*Always, always, listen to your body and step out if you are uncomfortable or become dizzy.
*You may bring water only in the cabin but please be careful not to spill as there is a floor heater.
*There are towels available to place beneath you and behind you to keep the sauna clean.
*Bring or wear clothes that you don't mind getting sweaty and a change of clothes to leave dry.
*There is no shower on site and it is recommended to allow your core temperature to remain elevated for 30-60 minutes after a session.
*Absolutely no alcohol allowed in the room, sauna, or building.
Your session in Breathe's Sauna Room will be completely private for just you or you and your guest. The cedar wood cabin features a bench for sitting or lying down, a bluetooth speaker for your music or book, and chromotherapy lighting for added physiological benefits. More than just a sauna, this room is equipped with an inversion table, yoga mat and self care props, water, towels, and electrolyte supplements. All are available for use and included in the cost of your session.
For best results, it is recommended to create a routine that involves regular sauna visits complimentary to other wellness practices - yoga, massage, exercise, diet, and sleep. Drinking at least 8 ounces of water before and after a session is necessary to replace the water lost during sweating. Including electrolytes further replenishes the body's nutrients.
The sauna, or suggestions below are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any physical conditions. It is intended for relaxation, detoxification, and is a natural and healthy way to compliment your wellness.

Benefits of Infrared Sauna Therapy
Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to heal & stay healthy. Far infrared sauna use causes a rise in core temperature resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.
Lower Blood Pressure
Infrared saunas induce a deep sweat to make the heart pump faster, which in turn increases blood flow, lowers blood pressure and helps circulation. Only Sunlighten saunas are backed by clinical research that shows a reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Both are key factors in maintaining a healthy heart.
Near infrared saunas provide the most effective wavelength for healing the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production to reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin tone.
Near infrared sauna therapy stimulates the circulatory system and more fully oxygenate the body’s cells. Better blood circulation means more toxins flow from the cellular level to the skin’s surface to improve cell health, aid in muscle recovery and strengthen the immune system.
Studies have shown that a far infrared sauna therapy session can burn upwards of 600 calories while you relax! As the body works to cool itself, there is a substantial increase in heart rate, cardiac output and metabolic rate, causing the body to burn more calories. In fact, a 2009 study showed Sunlighten far infrared therapy to lower weight and waist circumference in just a three-month period.
Infrared heat penetrates tissue, joints, and muscles to relieve anything from minor aches and pains to chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, and speeds up recovery time. A 2013 study conducted at the Auburn University at Montgomery showed that Sunlighten treatments can increase flexibility up to 3x.
Sunlighten sauna treatments are like giving your body a passive cardiovascular workout. Heating the muscles with infrared rays produces an increase in blood flow similar to that seen during exercise. Regular infrared sauna use can significantly stimulate blood flow up to twice the normal rate.
Infrared therapy greatly enhances the skin’s healing process by promoting faster cell regeneration and human tissue growth.
