In this 36 hour, 3 Part Thai Massage Training course, you will be introduced to the principles, techniques, and therapeutic applications of Traditional Thai Massage.

This course will help practicing massage therapists, experienced yogis, fitness professionals, and other wellness enthusiasts to dive deep into this beautiful practice.

Saturdays & Sundays 12-6pm (3 Weekend Series)

Take your bodywork practice to the next level and become a stand out therapist...

Thai Massage is making its way into spas, clinics, yoga studios, and private practice as a complement to other modalities or a refreshing alternative to traditional table massage. It offers a very different approach to physical healing and energy work that achieves incredible results for pain relief, flexibility, range of motion, body awareness, and overall well being.

This is a very special opportunity to learn the philosophies and techniques of a Traditional Thai Massage sequence and Kristin's unique and effective approach to the art form that has grown from her 8 years of practice. Not only will you learn how to perform techniques, but you will learn to apply them in a way that is therapeutic for your client and sustainable for your body.

*Thai Massage is practiced on the floor where the giver is seated, kneeling, squatting, and lunging. You will want to be comfortable in these positions for an extended amount of time to participate in this course. I strongly recommend a regular yoga practice if your aim is to incorporate this modality in your massage practice. It will both help you prepare your body for the physicality and body awareness required for giving and help you understand the effects on your receiver.

-Fundamentals-

Weekend 1 - 12 Hours

You will learn the background, principles, and foundational techniques of Traditional Thai Massage. This includes applying compression, kneading, traction, range of motion, acupressure, and more to various parts of the body. This introduction will enable you to give a simple, satisfying treatment to your partner, friends, and clients

It is important that you are comfortable on the floor in seated, kneeling, squatting, and lunging positions.

-Flow-

Weekend 2 - 12 Hours

This weekend will build on the fundamentals and include Thai Massage stretching techniques and important anatomy references to address specific concerns and outcomes.

-The Dance-

Weekend 3 - 12 Hours

In the 3rd weekend, we will dive deeper into advanced Thai stretches, therapeutic applications, hands free alternative techniques, Thai for the table, and integrating it into your existing practice.

Kristin has 24 years of yoga practice experience, 10 years of teaching, and 8 years of bodywork practice. She practices and teaches with the guidance of tradition, intuition, and science. She believes that the work does the healing and we are simply performing it. As an instructor, she is skilled at capturing what is important and communicating it clearly and concisely. Her workshops are both fun and focused with the goal of helping each student retain the material and feel confident sharing what they have learned. She enjoys working with small groups of dedicated learners so she can dig in deep.
